    Comments:

I bought this bike to replace my 83 trek 620. I rode a Specialized Roubaix $1900 and a Giant defy 2 $1299, to compare it to. This is my 4th trek and the best yet. I read many reviews before shopping that ALL said it had a lousy seat. I suspect those reviews were written before they had even ridden the bike more than a couple times. On my third ride, I didn't even notice the seat! I'll use this bike when the trails are wet and on The Hilly Hundred here in southern Indiana.

    Comments:

I have gotten back into riding since a 15 year layoff. I decided to go for new rather than resto the old one. I wanted to stay under $1500, not knowing if I would stick with it. The geometry is comfortable on this bike and it handles well(even for a 6'4" 210lb guy) I was soon doing 40m+ rides and feeling great. I did have to change the saddle for one of better design(the original became uncomfotable after 10m) The only true problem I had was the front shifter. The inside guts stripped out on it. Turns out the Tiagra shifters are not the best, so I upgraded to a 105. I would classify myself as an aggressive rider, so that may have had something to do with it. Overall I've been very happy with the bike, and would recomend it to a friend.

    Comments:

I love this bike. It handles very well. The smooth transition from gear to gear is awesome. The Trek name lives up to style, performance, and all other expectations are met. I average right at 19mph. It is a great bike for entry level cyclists.

    Comments:

I purchased this bike after racing my first Sprint Triathlon on a mountain bike. I have not raced this bike yet, but have thoroughly enjoyed the training rides. I would recommend this bike. Only complaint is the seat, but padded riding shorts help. Thanks to Chain Reaction cycles for the fit and advice.

After lots of shopping and not wanting to spend the money, I'm glad I did. This bike is nothing less than outstanding. My first fitted road bike and I can't be more pleased. My first ride was 26 + miles and it was like a walk in the park. Definately worth it!!

        Comments:

My Previous Trek was a Sport Hybrid and bought it because of my age, I though that I would feel Safe. I could not keep up with my bike team and upgrated to the 2.1 triple, Now I feel Safer, this bike is unbelievable, and outstanding! The 2.1 is so light that my 6 year old Niece can pick it up to her eye balls, thanks to the Aluminum frame, Carbon Seat Post and Carbon front and back forks, this configuration also absorbs shock well on rough ground. After riding 65 miles and having to Climb the two Bridges going into Ocean City, New Jersey, this bike handled outstandingly well and was able to do it with NO Problem. Thank you Trek. Awesome line of Bikes, and Priced Right for the Quality that you get!
